Burgundy VR6 - Project Colour Code! NOW SOLD!!!

Right, where do i start! been on this forum for a while now, thought i best start a project thread.

Heres my old GTi i used to have:



With the GTi sold and me looking for a VR6, i stumbled upon a cheap VR6 with slight rear damage, unfortunately it had been declared a CAT C write off. I figured i would go take a look anyways as i wanted to do a conversion into a Mk2 at some stage. Turned out the damage wasn't as bad as i first thought, Channel Island garage charges are stupidly high, this being an old car, meant it wasn't feasable for the insurance company to fix it! It was bought back and in the end, ended up in my hands. I'm hoping to restore it to it's former glorey  :cool:

Any way here is when i picked her up!







Not the best pics as it was dark! lol. Looking a little worse for wear, expansion tank look like it exploeded! I've checked it over and it's all fine now, thankfully.

Oh when i went to pick it up they said they had replaced the rear bumper and exhaust. Bumper had been replaced but only the backbox was replaced! lol

Also to add the VR has only done 73K  :evil:

The damage was behind the bumper, replaced the bumper and you couldn't really notice it. There was a slight crack where the Golf VR6 bagde was and there's about an 3mm bigger gap between the light and the boot.

Heres what it should look like:

I took the bumper off and this is the damage:





That's pretty much it apart from the slight crack above that.
