Well here's a couple of different wheel finish colours I could try on my interlagos winter alloys..... Obvioualy I've done these in photoshop and I'm by no means an expert in using this software. But it gives a bit of an idea how anthracite and black may look.

As now

Anthracite Finish

Black Finish

Personally I like the silver alloys on a darker car like FroGTI carbon Gray GTI but I want to reduce the silver look on my CW GTI. Any thoughts?

p.s. Having run with the wheels on this week there growing on me. I know there not to every ones taste but I like them as a winter wheel anyway!

Yeh his got a set of AC Schnitzer (Type IV BiColour) alloys on his 3 series. His had all sorts of problems with them last winter with all the potholes. The outer rim lip of the alloy seems to deform really easily if you hit a pothole.

They looked a bit delicate for our roads. Had a feeling this could happen.
Poor guy must be so fed-up.
I think my next 'car' will be a tank with an operative gun!

btw: What do you think of the 'beard' painting? :undecided:

If you get a tank next you could stay with German manufacturer and get a Panzer. The Panzers are great when your in a hurry and if you take it abroad you will get across France in no time. The only downside is you would be going down the diesel route like the GTD's

Yes I'm into the beard painting (don't tell the Mrs). Already had my beard painted (by our Chipsaway friend Tony Daher) as it had a scuff mark and a couple of stone chips. In hindsight if I had know about the beard painting mod I would have got it painted in a different colour.

Def won't be a 'tiger in your tank' with derv! Sorry Steve30!

Saw a silver GTi with a beard. Prefer un-bearded. But that's my personal taste.

Just one more thing: Gloss black wheels could also look very fetching with a white car. In the flesh I think they would be the business. Very stealth-like.
