You've bought something because it's a 'performance mod' without knowing what it does?
Good effort.
Have you thought about an indickion kit (sic) too?
The pipes in the breathers need to be routed into the catch tank. The nasty vapours fall out and liquify in the tank and the gas escapes via the exhaust.
Precisely the same can be acheived with a Coke bottle, a stanley knife and some tubing. You just make sure the tube doesn't touch the bottom of the bottle and the hole isn't tight around the tube at the top. Please note some people prefer Lucozade bottles for this technical application because of their wide-neck form.
The objective of this is to remove the nasty oily vapours from your intake (where they're normally dumped by the breathers) thus giving your engine fine, clean air to breathe.
In human terms a catch tank is like removing a pipe running from your backside to your nose - unless you've got really bad wind it's not going to have much effect.
