HI guys, thanks for the comments

Just to clarify

Im not intending to enter any competitions and i just dont have Alpine 6x9's and Alpine 4" speakers in the dash, as said I do have 2 sets of MB Quart reference speakers in the doors, if you know about systems then you will know MB quart and the quality they are.  As far as the speakers in the dash, there was a hole there that needed filling and as those only run of the stereo i did not need amazingly powerful speakers, but they do add to the sound.  As far as the 6x9's like i said the componants in the rear doors for me dont generate enough sound to make it feel completely balanced in the car as the speakers sit so low (below the seat line), i like the sound to feel like it is coming from all around. Obviously if you sit in the back it sounds great, but i dont drive in the back.  Thats why i added the 6x9's in the shelf just to project the sound more forward.   I think its a case of you have to hear it to understand what i mean.

I agree the alpine fronts are not the best quality, but like i said the MB quart speakers are. and thats what the amp powers. Along with the subs.

Honestly on 2/3rd volume you cannot sit in it for that long, there is no way i can get it any louder without it being unbareable.

If you have not heard of MB Quart then check out the link,  http://www.mbquart.com/main_caraudio.html

Smoove,   Thanks for your constructive feedback,  very useful, spose everybody is entitled to an opinion though , but beleive me its not a load of crap. I did not get ripped off and i have not been taken for a ride.  The audio system i have built is exactly what i want, and i am extremely pleased with it.  I dont know if you know anything about audio systems or not, maybe we might meet one day and you can have a listen then you could have an opinion which is factual and therefore credible.

As far as covering all the frequencies, i suppose i really mean that when i sit in the car i want to hear every little detail, thats why i did it the way i did it.  I have been fitting systems in cars for nearly 18 years so definately know what im doing.

Like i said i will post up some pictures soon for those that are interested.

correct me if im rong but wont the subs cancel out the 6x9's as they are in the boot ? or are your subs somewhere else? and as you say you have 2 subs in there there will be evan more air being moved and mean it is going to upset the 6x9's but do corect me if im rong just that is how i understand it

I think you have followed the most important rule - you have got it sounding the way YOU want it to sound.

I am curious with so much rear-fill though.  I have always had better results balancing out the sounds so that the front speakers and the sub do most of the work.

Is the soundstage dragged back with the extra rear fill?

That is the most unjustifiable sound system I have EVER seen. £3000 and the subs are loose, the amp wiring is not the best and the headunit is awful. How can you seriously say you have MB Quart up front for quality and crap £50 6x9s at the back to enhance frequency response when you have 2 1000w subs underneath them???? I'm not saying it doesn't sound good, I'm not saying the bass isn't earth shattering BUT JESUS! I could have spend half that and made a system that A. looked good and B. sounded much better. But meh, that's just my opinion.
