You did indeed. I chose not to as it's a 16V and I'd rather pay less insurance. Plus I REALLY wanted an anni.

That's weird because the 8v was only £40 cheaper for me, and an Anni was actually more expensive than both (due to it's higher desirability I assume).

8v somehow worked out at £150-£200 more than my valver on insurance.. work that one out :huh:

valver was a wholesome £4 more to insure than an 8v for me!
1983 mk1, 2.0, TSR pack C head, Eaton M45 - work in progress
1990 mk2 GTD, boost, fuel, soot
16v GTi mk3; chilli red, 16" Audi Speedlines, coilies
1934 Ford Dragster, 200mph in 6 seconds.

I took her to Lyme Regis today, from Yeovil, along A roads mainly with lots of twists and turns, several blasts and a few stop/starts, and averaged about 37mpg, but managed to get her upto:

In fairness I'm getting better mileage from this than I did with my GL which is meant to be better. :rolleyes:

Not hard considering your GL had a fooked engine
