Just what you love coming home to find...
« on: 11 July 2010, 15:45 »
A f**kin' dent in your car. Lucky for me it's an off road carpark and I know who did it. I have the first space outside the building, and someone thinks it's a good idea to put their jet ski in thelittle garden bit next to it. So my gf turns up at work today just before I finish and says "the jet ski guys were taking their jet ski out today and asked me to move the car but I didn't have the keys" so I was like fair enough, theirs enough room to navigate round....apparently not        it's not a big dent, but that's not the point. It's right on the corner of the front wing

Are you calling your wife a retarded woman who needs to learn to drive? Lol yea well I spoke to the guy, he said he'll pay for it, only thing is he doesn't live here, but he owns a couple of the properties in this block, so hoping he won't stitch me up. Got his phone number and registration lol

I had this with my M3, got a top tip for you all.

If you ever go through the insurance company and its not your fault, use accident exchange.

I did this as I was not sure the guy was going to admit to it, so they took control and delt with his insurance, after a quick chat he admit it.

They said I could take my car to any spray shop I wanted.

They then called back and told me I would be getting a BMW 330Ci Convertible M Sport E90! Brand Spanking New!!! The toys it had just made me fall in love, but was good to get the M power back again.

Anyway, cant fault this service, I signed one piece of paper, thats it, had a online portal to show how things are going etc.

I know this is only a small dent but in future if anyone does have a smash, use them.

PS I had someone do this to my Old RS Turbo, right on the back corner, they new admitited it and before I could take photos etc the car was gone and repaired and I didnt have a leg to stand on!

Well the guy has admitted fault, it wasn't a car that did it, he was moving his trailer across the carpark and the jet ski hit it, he's said he'll pay for repairs, should I still let my insurance company know??

No I wouldnt, they have been known to add money on to your next policy if they know. Even tho its not your fault.

Had this happen on more than one occasion. I had a 4x4 parked next to my old 8v, went to see my Mrs off on the train. Came back and front bumper was snapped off from the corner and dent screeve down the wing  They'd obviously reversed out, hooked the bumper on the child catcher on the front and then promptly f'd off, not leaving any details. I went into the station to ask for cctv to get their number plate, apperently they don't record and were only as a "deterent". Couldn't believe it. Had to get it sorted out of my meager student budget, ate rice for a month cause of those feckers.

+1 I wouldn't mention it to your insurance. Licence to print money and have a massive excuse bag for not paying out.
Ah yes sir I'm afraid you aren't wearing the same t-shirt as you were when you took out the policy so that means you aren't covered...

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.
