Car Won't Start!
« on: 12 August 2003, 08:48 »
At the week-end i did an oil and filter change, rocker cover gasket change and changed the leads and plugs.

When i tried starting it up - it won't start.

I took the distributor cap off and cleaned the connections, made sure the little 'screw bit' ontop of the plugs was off.

The car turns over but will not start - PLEASE HELP I AM MISSING MY CAR

Looking at what you have changed I would suggest that maybe you have the fitted the new leads in the wrong firing order?
Take the cap off and looking down on the distributer. Look for a mark/line on the distributer body. When the rotor arm lines up with this mark it is firing at number 1. Firing order, clockwise, is 1342.
