im a 21 year old male and have mopdifications on the car wich is a 2007 gti and one years no claims

direct line - wont cover me
churchill - wont cover me
admiral - 1700
elephant.co.uk - 1495 :) :) :)

lol i still dont understand why there is such a diffrence in quotes on some websites like money supermarket and go compare i was getting quotes for over 5000 quid, so if anyones a young drive go with elephant.co.uk :)

yep fully comp, i no i thought that so i rang up and checked it and its all good, 2 other drivers on the policy as well, and admiral is my currant insurer so the 1600ish quote from them is my renewal, and elephant are aparently part of the same company so its not that much diffrence between them :)

Simply because your vehicle is modified. Most insurance companies are not set up to deal with this; one small mod is usually referred to the underwriters who are likely to put a 10% increase and possibly a higher excess on. Anything more and it gets complicated because the computer systems they use are simply not set up for mods. As most of their business comes from standard vehicles, it is not in their interests to do anything about it.

If your car is modified, ask a specialist about it. It is likely to be cheaper.  :smiley:
