Subtle Touch.......For The Fmic
« on: 10 July 2010, 12:18 »
Been busy  still wasn't happy with the r/h lower corner of the fmic where it sat behind the bumper as it looked open so addressed that yesterday using a piece of an old wheel arch liner i made up a piece to cover the corner and keeping it o.e.m looks like part of the bumper now that sorted then onto my next little plan had previously talked about this with nick and knew what would happen once i had my fmic so yesterday i added a subtle touch to it with an 'R-Tech' logo  spoke to a local graphics/printing firm and once happy they made me up an adhesive vinyl stencil/template also picked up some more primer and decided to stick with blue for the lettering so eventually i decided on some bmw 'montreal blue metallic' picked up the template last night and set to and applied that and masked off the required area and the painting began
Masked up.

Primer & basecoat.

Having covered everything over last night i got up early this morning to carefully de-mask everything and looking forward to how it look finished and i'm more than happy with how its turned out  so heres the finished result

As usual your comments welcome

Are you being sponsored or receiving advertising commission???      Looks awesome! What sort of paint did you use? I almost bought a Forge stencil but then I left the grill in as a deer and phesant repellent!
