On board computer in dash!

Hey everyones, bought a t reg golf 1.8 20v turbo yesterday, spot on for price few rust spots on bonnet, although the on board computer in the dash isn't bright enough to see the mpg average etc? any ideas? thanks michael!

Its a very comont thing with all the VAG car around this year. I bet the car was very hot or had been in the sun for a bit. When it cold it will come back to being brights agane. i was toled that its somthing to do with the PCD bord and when it gets hot the conection come away a little and thus making it look dull

Been in again today after leaving it in a garage over night and it hasn't changed? maybe just the heat in general were i live?

I recently bought a Audi and I'm having the same problem. The heat use to affect my MK4 but on the Audi the temperature seams to make no difference, its constantly dull.

  mines like it too, f`ing annoying on a bright day.
