Rotary difficult to use? Was easy for me.
« on: 08 July 2010, 23:02 »
Just a quick thread to show that using a rotary isn't difficult at all.

I only had time to do the roof and bonnet, will do the rest at a later date.

- before paint correction. swirles/holograms, a mess

- tried a few different pad/compound combinations and found megs #4 on a sonus white pad was needed, this got rid of most of the swirls

- 50/50 after first pass

- hit the car with a megs #83 and finished with #80

-  quick pic before wax

- a pic of the roof after wax

Not bad for my second time using it

It's only a cheap silverline one,£40 iirc.

I read loads of guides etc....,but in the end i spent a few days helping a detailer with my car and picked up everything needed off him.

How mine turned out

great work - glad to see that you got some good tuition too! :afro:

i'd go for the DAS-6 PRO over the G220 - it is a MUCH better piece of kit and gives less vibration ;)

I got a Dodo buff daddy and not getting the required results just yet but think I need to fart around with different pads and compounds.  Should I be able to get the same results from a DA over a rotary?
