just change the battery in my key now the car wont start it's saying imobliser activited help plz? :wink:

my need recodeing take it to a vw dealer doesnt cost alot try walk into the work shop and sneak a few quid to a tech to do it only takes 5min :cool: get that all the time at my place  :D

you have to have it reprogrammed by VW if you have only 1 key

 :grin: thank god just done it turn the key (not started the car) and just left it for 10 mins and it reset the imobliser  :grin: thanks ppl

Changing the battery has nothing to do with the immobiliser, the battery only controls the unlocking via the remote

Have a read of the key faq :afro:
