im looking for a mk2 golf gti

Hi guys,im new to the site.
Right then im looking for a mk2 golf gti for sale.willimg to spend about ?1500....surely i can find a decent on for that.Anyway i dont want anything that has been 'kevved up' if you know what i mean.

Im in kidderminster(near b'ham) and am willing to travel for the right motor.If anyone has any suggestions plz let me know

I have one thats completely standard and in the last 8 months has had the following done to it:

New Cambelt
Rocker Cover Gasket
Handbrake cables and 2 new rear calipers
Clutch Cable
Accelerator cable
New discs and pads all round
new driveshaft bolts
new driveshaft gators
2 front dampers
new front wishbones and bushes inc anti roll bar bushes
Never driven hard by me (well not taken over 4 1/2 5k on the rev counter in any gear.
Oil Changes every 3000 miles (has done 12000 motorway miles by me so far)
New fan heat sensor
New Thermostat
New front Bridgestone Potenza's 720's
New leads and plugs
Cooling system all flushed out and cleaned up

The car drives very nicely and still pulls well, it is in fairly good condition.  I have treated it very well in the last year tho lack of service doesnt give any indication of prior ownership tho the way it drives for 140000 miles gives a good indication, the Oil temp has never gone over 100 and the water temp rarly ventures over halfway.  I was stuck in a 3 hour jam once at the stat of the year and it never overheated once.

Im looking for sensible money around the ?700 mark

What sort of golf is it? Age? Colour? 3 or 5 door? PAS? let me know

Whats the oil consumption like?

with ?1500 quid i would of thought you would get a very sensible and fun car, around f to h plate depending on condition and history,

Sorry I didnt finish the above, the company network was going to be turned off and I got 2 mins notice.

Its a 3 door, Tornado Red, no PAS and as it gets a full oil change (4 litres) every 3000 miles I suppose it loses 1/2 litre in that time.  It has just this weekend started to lose water but judging from blue hue outside the expansion tank cap it seems it might be escaping from there.
