pinking noise

hi, every time i change gear (up) i get a noise that is very similar to the old ignintion pinking noise from my old mk2 fiesta many years ago, also i have like a bang noise eveytime i stop ,ie after driving the car when its ticking over the bang only happens once every time, but happens every time i stop and tick over, engine code is AZJ so it says on the boot sticker,  any ideas, kinda hoping someone has come across this or something similar before.

no fault codes appear on the dash, although it does need servicing.

No you need to scan it via the OBD port for fault codes

you can get 1 cheap off ebay (a scanner)......it funny you say you get pinking from your fiesta my 1.1 fiesta did it under load ...my dad was trying to get more power from mine and did this ...in the end we got it spot on ...it was like a cosworth .....110mph out of a 1.1    4 speed gear box ....i used to love the old ford fiestas ...so easy to take the engine to pieces gas flow and port it ,,everything was so simple....my ford fiesta xr2i would give the mk2 golf gti 8v a run for its money .....any way back to your car if it is pinking get it checked by a garage , telll them whats wrong see what they think ....or just ring coulsdon auto parts and ask for steve .....man he will tell whats wrong with your car ,ie ...when r-tech remapped my car they said the timing might be out as i had a error code that came back....i was pissed off as coulsdon auto parts done my timing belt ...so i rang them up told them my timing belt was out a bit ....he asked why i told him ,,straight away he said its your cam shaft sensor ....sorry to go on iv had 7 beers so far

almost forgot they were spot on saying it was the camshaft sensor ....fault code went and the car pulled like f??k.......if you ring coulsdon auto part say china said you know lots...he will tell your whats wrong with your car with out scanning it or looking at it....man and if you live round my area sm7 he does the cheapest top job ever ...ie he will fit a clutch for £150 , as long as you supply it ...

na my mate fletcher will fit one cheaper lol he lives around there
