bloke at work has one of these, owned it for 4 weeks and within that time has needed driveshaft replacing, inner CV Boot, turbo oil line.

By the sounds of it they just aint built strong enough for the power there programmed for. Plus if your still running 230+bhp and 260+lb/ft torque yours will be quicker.

If the Megane's obviously worth more then why are they looking to swap? If something appears too good to be true it usually is....

mines worth more in bits than the megane

I'd still be wary, the Renaults are quick and handle well but reliability is appalling. Where I work has discount on Renaults so a lot of my colleagues have them, I wish I had a quid every time one of them is late or doesn't make it in at all due to car issues....
My Golf is dead but at least I have this....

dont start me on reliability, mk4s have got to be the most unreliable on the market, but they look sexy as fook :undecided: :undecided:

no they look  imho and they are french

ill second that, plus every french car i ve ever been in has had electrical problem and my clio had a electrical fire so  lol
ill third that, I advise all my friends and family to stay away from the french, I personally say your asking for trouble.
