I think we need to hire the men in black to take care of the lot of you.....

A pity the Germans lost now we miss the opertunity to beat them and become Weltmeister now we also got ourselves a much stronger opponent...
I did not find the German chaps arrogant at all....anyway they won't do any harm to me in Germany since I am driving their car....

Seeing as you asked the only way to "accidentally" remove a remap is if a firmware upgrade is added to the ECU during a service. Thats the only one I know of but thats not say there are more.

The Spanish going to ruin you Dutch lot btw :D

Well, you shouldnt have that problem if you tell them your car is remapped and you dont want a firmware upgrade. My car wont go within 2000 yards of a VW dealer so I also dont have this problem ;)

Oh yeah, I totally agree, hence using the word shouldn't. Thats the problem with new cars, you need to have a bit of service history from the dealer which I never really understand. The service and level or work I get from my independent VAG garage is x100 better than what VW ever gave me, not to mention he is considerably cheaper.

Almost thought I went into a different forum----?match.com
I do find most indies got miles better 'engineer' than those factory trained technician! However, if you don't stamp your book with main deaper stamps, no one wants to buy your car!
This is why I probably go for the Bluefin--I wouldn't need to worry about the stealer reflahing my remap!
