temp sensor/switches
« on: 05 July 2010, 15:06 »
i went to VW main dealer today and asked if they could show me a pic of a 16v engine so i could show them what part i need.

THEY COULD NOT DO THIS

im after the three temp switch/sensors.

i think there are two on the side, near the dizzy and one on the back of the block

i need help in obtain the part numbers of them or at least the name of them so i can order it from VW or elsewhere.

thanks

I think the part number is 027 919 501 - all three are the same. You might find that head on them is different - mushroom rather than blade.

Known as temperature sensors

I don't have EKTA I always go down to my local VAG master he is real good he is the sort of bloke who memorizes part numbers soon as you describe the part you're looking for  :nerd:  LOL!
RubJonny has it? PM him or there is a part number request section in the maintenance at the top
Either way Poor show from lazy a git, but I know how much they get paid and you will be shocked its not much shhhhoooo!

I think 027 919 501 was the original blade type head, now replaced by 049 919 501 (mushroom head).
If you speak to VWS they'll guide you.

Been replacing my 3 sensors, one of the part numbers is 028919081h, think that is the oil pressure switch from VW with disc £10.40

temp sender from euro car parts part nos 460440020 £4.64

hope that helps, all mushroom heads

right, went to take the sensors out of the car.

2 of them read 049 919 501

one on the back of the head reads 049 919 563A

is this correct??
