shruken window seals

:cry:some of my seals have shrunken with age, and i finding it a bit difficult to replace has they are chrome surround windows 4 door help someone

somewhere i read that you can soak them in some stuff that re nourishes the rubber and stretches them back out?! i may be way of track here, but try taking them off and giving them a good going over with tyre gel or something similar to get them all soft again. can't hurt to try?!

The stuff is called Gummi-pfledge. Part number is 82 14 9 407 015 :)

Although I've heard old brake fluid is good at rejuvinating old rubber, works on rubber hoses but I'm not sure how well it would work on window seals.

Basically its because brake fluid is specially designed to lubricate and feed the rubber components in the brake system :)
