question about my power steering???

so my car has become hard to turn sometimes and i have to force the wheel to make corners. especially when going slow. figure it just needs power steering fluid.
my question is... is there a general rule of thumb for power steering fluid? specific type i should get? brand? thanks... :wink:

Just go to a GOOD autoparts centre and ask what they recomend. And as for filling it, do it to the line that says full on the bottle. Also as your car shouldnt loose fluid, i would check belts and hoses

usually mk2 should have red fluid which is dexron II ATF. if its all brown & manky drain it all out and replace with the red ATF stuff
