Sounded like the car was running a little rough at idle - took it into a recommended local garage, who replaced the spark plugs - which seems to have fixed the problem
They also replaced the brake fluid for £28, whereas the stealers were after £75, and confirmed the stealers were talking rubbish when they said the car needed new front suspension bushes.
Total cost was £140 - dread to think what it would have been at the stealers.
