right guys im in the same situation,
18 years old own a 1.4cl, and im doing up the whole interior then the exterior and gonna finish with the enigne and in a few years considering putting in a new engine,
is that a reasonably good idea?

Nope not really as converting a non GTI to anything bigger is a lot more work.
