Well, I've been on here a little while, only reading though...... Finally decided to post up and become more of an active member.
I recently bought a MK4 Gti from G60GTI16V on here (see below)

So, picked the golf up then the next day or day after the window messed up, it went down but wouldn't come back up, made an awful noise! Anyway, read on here before I bought the car about the regulator problems so I can't blame the previous owner, and don't of course! The regulators should be arriving today so can hopefully sort it today, bought both front ones. Thought it made sense while I was at it! No doubt I'll be posting up in the relevant forums later in the day with some issues, right now the issue I have is the door doesnt lock, Yea, i've taken the doorcard and metal panel with the regulator and speaker attached but thought i'd re-attached the wiring so the door should lock? No idea... hopefully it'll sort itself out when I do the install.
My plans for the car are, to fix the door/wing as it looks a bit messed up and spoils the car. Change the bumpers, exhaust, K03S swap, re map, change the wheels + suspension, r32 dog bone mount, then thats about it, other than changing centre console, door handles as they're warn and wrap the awul wooden bits in some 3M vinyl, oh I already installed a Pioneer P4100DVD, wired in the bypass and got my iphone working on it properly, with video (sync problems though)
Got some judder when pulling away too so planning to change the clutch in the not too distant future.... Thinking about the ECS Stage 1 clutch from Awesome?
Oh and the air con isn't at all cold so got a voucher from kwik fit so i'll get it regassed and see if that works long term or if it has major probs.... hopefully not!
Anyway, bored you guys long enough now so i'm off to browse some more until fed ex turn up.
