Wheels. Power to the flywheel doesnt acctually do anything, Its just the output of the motor not the car.

Wheel hp is a true representation of the power as all of the drive train losses are taken out.

i believe the drivetrain figure mentioned above accounts for a percentage of the power..

cant remember.. but i have a feeling that these rolling road places use an equation to get the fly wheel figure from the actual road figure.. i've heard some can be wildly different

so expanding upon what  fielder said.. cars with the same engines, but differing drive trains could perform very differently.

Some rolling roads have set figures for transmission loss but some newer ones calculate it by timimg how long the car wheels take to slow down after a power run.

My octy was 220.4 at the wheels and 245.6 at the flywheel. Most cars are have around 10 - 15% transmission loss.

most cars meaning 2wd, 4wd loose a lot more, but then when driving the 4wd is better at getting the power down

Has to be the wheels as they are the last part of the chain when it comes to getting you moving
