Traction control light & car won't start...
« on: 22 June 2010, 22:44 »
Hello all,

I've read other thread but it's not quite the same as this.

Basically I was having a leisurely drive back from work, no putting my foot down or anything just chilling and driving under 3k revs and change.

I was coming to a halt to pick my Mrs up and the traction control light comes on, so I got really worried and turned the car off to be safe.
There was no difference in the drive that I could notice, car idle's fine and was driving fine pulling as normal in every gear.

When I tried to start the car again it was turning over but wouldn't start, I tried unplugging the MAF as advised by the legend Topher but still no joy :(

After leaving the car for about 10 mins or so I tried starting it again and it started with no probs and no probs since then when I turn it off it starts fine. I'm worried it's gonna happen to me again when I least want it to like leaving from work or something :(

I'm going to see Toph on Sat so will get it scanned but for now I was wondering if any of you guys have had this problem before?

Cheers
Asif

Sorry mate, the thing was when I got it started I made it my first priority to let you know as it was a sods law thing, that you were gonna come over and it decided to start. I felt bad thinking I didn't want you to come over when I wasn't stuck anymore.

I have to say though mate, thanks once again for offering to come out and help me whilst I was stuck, I really appreciated it as you were coming in your own personal time. That was part of the reason why I called back and said don't come as it was started.

See you on Sat mate, fingers crossed it's something small or nothing at all :)
