Took the 'loon on a Uni Open day trip today to Aston.

Nice sedate run sticking to the speed limits for the whole journey.

who needs 16v - 8v FTW when you get

returned on the whole journey

Pah, we got 50.4MPG on today's round trips out of our barge and it's nearly 2t and 4WD
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

I had about 46mpg on the old 8v when I went to pick up the 16v donor, not bad considering I was doing about 77 all the way up including some traffic!

With the 16v I had 40mpg since Sunday morning, that trip is to Silverstone and then to Bournemouth, then back to Lymington, then back to Bournemouth and finally back home in Lymington, so just over 300 miles I believe. Not bad considering I rarely dropped below 80 and there was a LOT of traffic at Silverstone.

Best I've had is 44.7 in the Corrado  :smug: But that was on a long run at a nice steady pace.

Don't know whether to beleive it or not but it seemed to be near enough right by the amount of fuel I'd used
'95 Mystic blue Mk3 2.0l 8v - gone
'93 2.0l 16v Corrado - gone (and missed)
'02 A4 Quattro sport - gone
'91 Black 2.1 16v Corrado -gone
'91 Tornado red Mk2

I don't believe the trip computer entirely, but mine regularly shows 42-44mpg when i'm cruising home from work. This obviously goes down considerably when I put my foot down
