midnight racing - wicked!
« on: 24 December 2004, 00:24 »
just raced a bike off the lights

I obviously didn't stand a chance, but it was fun all the same. my shift from 1st to 2nd at 6000rpm was almost spot on and I didn't loose traction off the line so recon I did about a 7 second to 60 and then we both let off as we were technically in a 40 zone and I've already recieved 1 speeding fine this week

merry christmas

LOL a friend of mine had a 1.1 saxo insult his metro. It has a 3.2 litre Rover Race Replicer motor in the back of it

The most fun things to race are middle aged men in there Family cars :D

A mate of mine has got a 1970s morris traveler.

It has a 3.5 litre Rover V8.  Currently pushing 400brake.
The travellor looks absolutely standard from the outside.

Its when you get inside you start to notice.

The V8 is mid mounted and his driving seat sits nicely where the rear seats should be.

The amount of times he has embarassed boy racers.
Its obscenely fast.

0-60 in under 4 secs.

pisses on most cars
he recons he has the quickest Morris in the land.

my last race was the valver against an R32.

unfortunately, the start was on a corner going under a bridge (kingston). and it was wet going into slippy going back to wet. i didn't stand a chance as i couldnt get any power down. got up close personal to a rev limiter though.

I raced my Golf 2.0 8V Mk3 (totally standard) against a Calibra 16v . And I lost

I lost only by about  a car length but I think that car had some mods on it.

I'm gonna have to sort something out and go out and find the calibra again so I can get some revenge.
