Alright patch
ok....... the car was picked up on Saturday just gone!
The reason things have taken sooooo long is because i have been saving my ass off to get all this work done! Basically in the region of just under 4k
The fabricators have my car for 3 weeks now, in that time there is a full structural and FIA approved roll cage going in, including gussets, door bars, seats mounted to cage etc etc! So that should look sweet when done!
The arches are all getting cut off the car and tubbed to fit the new wide arch kit, which will be smoothed into the car, using as little fillers as possible to keep weight down. Yet the arch kit needs to be adapted so the front and rear bumper can be quick released for track days and working on the car.
The bonnet is getting pinned, the boot is going carbon, the roof will be going carbon also in the near future.
Not only that, some other CRAZY mods are getting fabricated also! Not sure i wont to reveal that just yet as never seen it done on a golf before!! But it should look crazy!!
I am desperate for photos as they have been working on the car all week!
When the car comes back, the arch work will have taken a serious amount of paint off the car, and of course the front and rear bumper is new so wont have been sprayed. SO i need to start thinking about what colour the full respray is going to be! Im pretty sure of what colour im going for but thats hush hush!
