Just to make you aware that there have been rumours that using launch control too many times in a short space of time can over stress/over heat the clutch plates on the gear box. Whether this is entirely true im not sure, im sure i read it on a vw forum.

My edition 30 has launch control and in the 3 years of ownership i have never used it. I bet other dsg users have used it over and over again with no problems, i just havent risked it lol

I've found that launch control can be used just about as regularly as you like. In one day I used it over 20 times in anger at Santa Pod. With a remap for the DSG it just makes it toooooo easy to use - as long as traction control is off and you are in either sport or manual mode, then launch control is permanently active

If anyone's DSG should give up the ghost due to excessive use of Launch Control it should be mine , but as yet it is running fine with a LOT of torque and power.

you can put the software on the DSG regardless of who mapped the engine
