Dont you just love it when you come home from holiday to....

A massive Dent in the side of your beloved car :(




To add, the fact it was someone in your family that did it so you cant really be that angry!

Anyhu i took it took a friend who runs an insurance repair garage and asked for a quote.
Apparently it has just bent a safety rail inside the door so the entire door has to be replaced :shocked:

The quote ended up being just over £1000 to get it all sorted, even though it doesnt look that bad.

I was thinking cause its family i might just get a scrappy door and get it sprayed, or am i just being stupid and should get it done proply through insurance? Excess will be £350 on there bill.

If so anyone know's any good scrap yards near the Hertfordshire area?

gutted  :sad:  id see if u can get one from the scrappy, no point with insurance if its cheap enough to replace. and the bonds of family might be torn due to them havin an excess and losing their no claims bonus.

but hey, u dnt have to do what i say lol

mate i feel for you!

try a scrapy i got a whole front end, bonnet,wings,light, front panel, battery tray etc all for 125 quid

unlucky mate but good call by toph, that can be repaired for sensible money
and i wouldn`t call him a mate if he wants to charge you a grand to fix that :shocked:

Check the classifieds on here i'm sure someone is selling complete doors.

Cheers for all the advice guys, think i will get in touch with jord about them!
I guess this is a good excuse to get all the bit of paint work sorted, no?  :tongue:
