How easy it is to remove the pistons from a 1.3 engine!! :huh:

Thinking of some nice ornaments as i've gotta scrap me golf :grin:

I think the easiest way is to remove the sump and undo the two bolts from the bottom of the conrods. Take the head off the engine and shove your pistons out through the top.
I don't think you can withdraw the pistons from the bottom as the crank will be in the way, removing that is probably more time consuming than whipping the head off.

Dont suppose if you take off the sump you could do some photos, as i tried removing my sump, but found it really confusing :undecided: Would be cool if you could

my brother has a piston/rod from a 9 litre perkins engine all polished  up and ground out at the top to be used as an ash tray, ill try and grab some pics :grin:
