i dont know of any, but Hurdy may know of where to direct you. I havent a scooby. If youve removed your Airbox, its only 4 bolts and  2 small hoses, and its off. It bolted to the side of the rocker box. Really easy. Airbox removal is just as straight foward, but be gentle with it when pulling it off the top of the engine.

He'll most proberly recommend the BSH fix kit.

Cheers mate, I prefer the oem solutions.  Do you not need to remove the engine cover?  Also did you replace the breather pipes and the orange rubber gasket?

Cheers,

Ryan

Steve, when you say airbox do you just mean the whole engine cover/intake assembly? I've had that off plenty of times. Am I right in thinking that if I have the replacement part in front of me i'll be able to spot original one quite easily?

I'm fairly handy with stuff and it sounds pretty easy but it's always nice to have an idea about the job before you start.

Cheers mate

Yes mate, the engine cover contains the air filter  as soon as you take it off , look at the rocker box (top) and its in the middle towards the front

Is it a butterfly type valve as in the MK4 PCV valve. If so it should be possible to give it a good clean?

I am surprised that it has clogged up assuming it is that as my car has only done 13000 miles

Cheers mate. Ordered the part, will let you know how I get on. If there are no pictorial guides on how to do the job, perhaps I should do one????

The diaphragm is enclosed in a circular housing which if you open it up, you wont be able to put back together, so best to get new one and then prise open with a screwdriver to look at the Rubber Diaphragms condition.

Mine when it went was leaking between the two halfs of the housing, rather then it actually having a tear or split in it.
