I quite fancy adding the TV function to my newly installed RNS510.

Can anyone throw some light on the features it has, how well it works (signal strength, picture quality), etc. and how easy is it to install (antenna positioning, software requirements).

TIA

I'd like one - but its just too expensive for something I'd rarely use!
Golf R... 3 door, DSG, Leather, Reflex Silver, Black 19" Talladega Wheels, ACC, Parking Sensors, RNS510 with Dynaudio, Reverse Camera, Luxury Pack, Cruise Control & Fiscon Bluetooth.

I have sourced one for about £120. I agree it's hardly a must-have accessory, but it still looks

I think it's the full tuner & card, just bought it on eBay. I'll let you know if it works when I get it!

TBH, I'm not really sure what I've bought. It's a hybrid analogue/digital tuner, so I assume I will be able to pick up most channels.

I bought a stand-alone portable DVD player with a digital tv tuner in for my van a couple of weeks ago. It was £50 brand new from a local shop and it works brilliantly, though the screen's not very good quality. I thought I might as well give it a try on the GTI, too

I will be relying on forums like VWNavi.com to help me out when it comes to fitting it. If I can't get it to work, I'll just sell it on.

Fingers crossed
