OK mate, like I said I read the stickies last night, but was too much to take in at once. I've just ordered some stuff online, Meguiars 3 step kit, clay kit, MF cloths and foam pads, we'll see how it turns out. Probably gonna invest in a foam lance after payday too thanks for your help

i knew nothing myself this time last year, its amazing how much you can learn from the tinterweb.

a foam lance will be a good buy, not one that i can afford at the moment unfortunately.

looks like a good start with the megs kit, i'm sure your product collection will grow and grow now so be sure to get lots of pics up of your car and the products you use.

if I was buying off the interwebs and was just suggesting a wash, clay and polish kit with a wax I would suggest the following

wash - bilt hamber autowash
clay - valet pro poly clay bar 100g (enough for 4 cars)
clay lube - dodo born slippy refill - make a solution up in a spray bottle as the dodo ones are crap
polish - dodo lime prime
wax - collinite 915 - has a good quality finish and is very protective

I haven't priced that lot up but you should be able to get it all, plus all the microfibres and applicators that you need and a drying towel £50/£60

Thanx mate is there a certain kind of drying towel I should use? Microfibre towel?
