Wee question does anyone know who makes the ko3 and ko4 turbos for the VAG cars?

They are made by Borg Warner Turbo Systems in Germany.

There are also IHI turbo's fitted to mk6 GTI's.

Thanks guys. I was chatting with my mates and we were talking about HKS or Garrett options for his MR2. Then he asked what make of turbo was on my GTI... my answer.... erm it's a ko3 lol. That's all I know  :embarassed:

I thought K03 and K04 was a KKK model?

The TDIs use Garrett variable vane turbos I seem to recall.

You are right - Borg Warner bought KKK and another manufacturer called Schwitzer and merged them into one division about 8 or 9 years ago. I guess the old name lingers on though.
