Alloy refurb midlands
« on: 10 June 2010, 17:37 »
Hey Chaps,

Any recommendations for alloy refurb (18inch monza) in the midlands? I want the finish to be OEM.

Tried A1 Wheel Renovation but they charge about £95 per wheel or something - any cheaper altenatives?

As a side point - does anybody know what lepsons / spit & polish charge?

Sorry for so many questions, as I get up to speed hopefully I can help others.

Thank you

Is that price definitely correct for A1 wheels ?
My wife's are going up next week for refurb, admittedly only 16 inch diameter but there prices were better than lepsons, pristine etc, may be worth double checking.

Try Pristene wheels in MK,

A mate of mine had some 20" oz wheels done there and did an awsome job. I gave them a call about mine I think they have a flat rate for 18 Monza's they will also pick them up & deliver them back when done.

Robern - yes unfortunately, the only saving grace is they loan you a spare set of wheel, but nearly £400 for the 4 alloys seems very expensive?

Luvmygti - thanks - I'm just working out how to send 4 alloys - poss have my car up on bricks!

I can vouch for Lepsons v. good finish. can't help with the price though as I didn't pay!

Thanks chaps - when you send the alloys off do you have spare wheels to stick on, or do you leave the car on axle stands?

I used spit and polish, via a local tyre supplier. Took about 1 week, and cost £200

Excellent result

I had a spare set of wheels that were on the car while the originals were being refurbished

Thanks chap - that's the kind of price I was expecting! I think I'll call them and buy some axel stands in the meantime !
