RCD510 security code: where is it?

As I have ordered the RNS510 headunit for a retrofit, I will be attepting to sell my 11 month old RCD510 unit. I believe the buyer will require a security code to get it to work, but where can I find it? I had a quick look through the manual and the documents that were provided with the car, but couldn't find anything :embarassed:

Hi Fro if its not in the audio handbook or your service book then speak to your dealer they will need your chassis number, maybe your V5 and driving licence and they will give you the code.

Mines handwritten on the cover of the headunit handbook (very professional).
At one time didnt they start to omit giving the codes just so that they could charge for them later on?

Yes they did no code cards are given now! apparently its for security just in case you leave it in the car?? so they now write it in the handbook!! how secure is that, 

Might aswell just write it in big letters across the window screen

Mine was written on a little sticky label on the top of the unit.... proper lithuanian styleeeee

I'm the same...
I have my RCD510 sitting under my desk just now waiting to sell, but have no code!
It was in the car for less than a day and is immaculate.

There was a number scrolled in the front of the manual, but I wasn't sure if this was the code.  The dealer told me that they no longer supply the units with codes as most people leave them in the glove box - which made them easy targets for thieves.

I asked the dealer to get my code.  I needed to give him my VIN number and the serial number of the stereo.
I'm still waiting for him to come back to me with the code though!

He could only try it if it was in another car. Once it has been registered in a car, the car doesn't ask you again for the code even if you unplug and remove it!!
