You can pick up Mk3 16v for less than the reach around you'd get on a decent Mk2.

I love Mk2's but for a good one you will pay, simply because keeping a Mk2 good costs a reasonable sum of money.
If you are flush then get on it

What do you guys know/think of the above car?

One thing is that it's got a tracker.. how would I get that changed to my name, or is it reg'd to the car not the person?

Argh, I really want to make sure I get the right car!!

Looks good, pretty sure you can't get 6 months MOT though, does he mean tax?

I reckon so bud.

£1700 seems steep though. Just a quick question chaps.. What sort of things can you do to improve a MK3 8V's speed?

I'm not talking spending loads, nor do I want comments like "Get a MK2 to pull it.." lol.

The one I'm looking at has a s/s exhaust already.

Under £500 will win you an MOT fail SEAT with a 2.0 16V ABF motor in it and 280mm front brakes.

That'll make it faster.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

Is there anything wrong with leaving the engine in the seat in the first place?
Are they not lighter, faster and (in my opinion) nicer looking than the golf  :lipsrsealed:
S4 Avant. Eibach springs. 18" Avus. RS4 Intercoolers. Viper Tuned. Goes Fast.

Cant really do alot to em mate, just a good service, throttle body clean, drilled airbox and panel filter and a decent exhaust. Or just race something really slow and it will seem faster!
