Knocking Found!!!!

After about a month of a horrible knocking sound coming from the front of my car we've finally found the problem!!!  :grin:

Myself, 3 mates and 4 mechanics couldn't find it until today!

The list we thought was, ARB (which i replaced), CV Joints, Driveshafts, Box, Dif....
and finally today when we were just taking the driver side wheel off to do the CV joints we noticed we noticed finger marks & oily prints all round the wheel and the arch and from what it looks someone has tried to pinch my alloys!

4 out of 5 wheel nuts were completely loose! like so you could easily unscrew with your fingers loose!

We tightened them back up, took it for a spin and bish bash bosh! SORTED!!!!!!!  :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

I was so happy i went out and bought a brand new 40" TV!  :grin:

Nice one glad you found the problem but fancy not checking those as a matter of course in the first place  :rolleyes: :tongue:

I might be a little paranoid as I had one wheel refitted by a garage once and I could undo the bolts with my fingernails....... :lipsrsealed:

Certainly worth checking at least once a month I would have thought

i check the wheel nuts about 2 a month for shyts sake and its not like it doesnt matter. if that damn thing came off youd have to replace a whole lot more than a wheel
