R-tech stage 2 remap
« on: 07 June 2010, 11:00 »
Hi all, I'm currently running stage one on my gti with milltek exhaust and evoms intake, was planning on putting a decat or milltek sport cat on then going to stage 2, can anybody tell me what stage 2 involves and what sort of gains will I see from doing it? Cheers in advance! Chris

Best way to describe the increase in feel, is you get simular ammount of torque (kick in your seat) right to the redline rather then lower down the rev range where on stage 1 its tends to give a better low to midrange shunt.

Overall horsepower wont increase by very much. Just smoother Torque

What Steve has said

Its the mid-range grunt that improves along with the slightly freer top end

Its all about the average horsepower / torque :afro:

Ok thanks, do I need to do anything else than the sport cat?

Could fit an uprated intercooler from the S3 or the Forge Twincooler

depends how deep your pockets are on that one though as last time i checked the forge option is high hundreds, i think most go for the S3 option.

I was looking at the forge option and it's a lot of money! How much is the s3 intercooler? I take it you need the new rad and new pipes for it?
