Have seen the problem before and is in most cases a faulty speedo head.

I have now worked out to the nearest 20 miles how much distance I would have covered since the 22nd March when I took delivery of Wolfgang. Yes, I am that anal!
The oddometer now reads 1276 miles. Which is about correct by my calculations.
However, it still does not explain why it showed readings of (1) 1400, 1550, 1600 miles and (2)  that I had only covered 10 miles in one week of commuting.
Anyway, as long as it behaves itself as of now, I will not stress.
Yes, Wolfgang is still a red blooded male!

Howabout a lease company...suddenly your car is doing very few miles to the gallon...that will definitely wake up a few fleet-owners...anyway besides speed it now will make you feel like you own a Rolls...
