Alloys

been trying to look for some cheap alloys for my mk5 due to the fact that my missus drives it most of the week and she would trash some brand new ones but i am struggling to find some remotely nice ones.
is it worth getting some adaptors to go 5x112 to 5x100. then i would have a much wider range, also are the adaptors safe and how do they work ?
cheers

Stick with the 5x112's.
Loads of cheap alloys out there if you look.
What size alloys are you looking for and what is your price range?

looking for 17s or 18s.
prob between £180 and £250. i would invest in some new ones but with it being my missus drive to work and that am worried she'll trash them.
I would like some original VW alloys. quite like the ones on the GT TDI

On the GTTDI MKV they have Charleston's as OEM. A good looking alloy, but in good condition would be over £250 unless you are very lucky.

Keep looking on e bay, as you can sometimes get Monza reps for about £180/200,
Though why do so many people have wifes who trash their alloys, I REALLY would not let my wife near my car if there was any possibility of her curbing them...

You took the alloys off and put hubcaps on? Or is a normal MK5 that came with hubcaps?
