It actually only show you CD (playlist no) and track number, i.e CD2 Track 12

No display of mp3 titles and no real safe way to seach through for anyo ther tracks that are not part of the first 5 playlists. VW really missed the goal on this one.

Won't be bothering with that then! You can get the media thing instead for the arm rest can't you? Like an aux port.

Yup, when I bought my car I ripped out the crappy iPod interface and put in the proper MDI interface. I highly recommend it as it is fully integrated into the radio display, the highline display, and controlled by the MFSW if you have one. It will cost you though - approx £250.

If you're going to spend up to £250 on it you may as well take a look at some aftermarket headunits. There are some very OEM looking double din ones out there.
Not low enough mk5

£250 inc labour. Attached to RNS510 which I think is excellent. Maybe not the absolute best sound but it does everything you could ever need, especially with the Fiscon hands-free which I also threw in for good measure. And I reckon resale value will be slightly better if fitted with OEM kit.

Totally agree with you mate! OEM equipment always looks better, plus with the RNS510 you can really integrate all the media/phone etc
