Mine seems to be the only insurance that went up after upgrading (sorry I mean downgrading  ) to a Mark 4. Supposed to be a safer car and all that !!!!  Extra 59 quid on my premium which only had three months left to run. Prefer the Mark 3 anyway.

sell it and buy two mk3's!!

You will never really know how close I am to selling it and getting a Mark 3 again but I don't think the missus would forgive me if I did. "It's more comfy and looks more modern" is what I get....I reply yes but it's boring !!!

27   1997 8v GTi...paying £550ish insurance as I have only had a UK license for 5 years now and I live in London, I immigrated here from South Africa and a SA license is laughed at here...probably because half the people who have them bought them...
