Selling the golf (new pictures page 3)
« on: 02 June 2010, 19:59 »

Decided to sell the car, lack of use by me means a diesel runabout for the misses and some cash would be better suited to the current situation.

Cheers all, Sam  :undecided:

Shame, Sambo!

Soot-chucking GT, perhaps?
MKV GTI | Reflex Silver | 5-dr | Anthracite 17" | Manual | Highline MFD | Cruise | Revision 'D' DV | Dirty Pipes |

The GTD is like a blow up doll. The GTI is like a proper woman. Sure the doll might last longer, and the woman might have higher running costs, but which would you rather have?

I'm thinking about getting a non VAG related day to day car so won't blaspheme on here

The golf TDI isn't for me, i'd only ever think how much better my GTi was, and there too expensive to make it worth while as the cash will come in handy.

I haven't driven the GTi for months, other than nipping to KFC about 500 yards up the road, once the other day.

It's a shame, but only a car at the end of the day, so no point letting it effect everything else.  :nerd:

Different people with different circumstance, its been hell not being able to drive my car, how do you get about etc? If you don't use it then it makes sense not to have it.

Alan,

Got a work van mate, VW crafter 136ps so not a sh!tter.  Misses uses the golf to take the daughter to nursery, then go to work, then pick her up and come home after work. Bit of a waste really. Just paid £130 to tax it for 6 months, the car i'm looking at costs £120 for 12 months. No brainer really.  Then theres worrying about where it's parked etc enough space in supermarkets to avoid ding's and all that hassle that goes with a car you cherish.

Hopefully it will go too a good home, I think it's priced about right, we will see I suppose?
