SAI pump comes on..... twice..... ?
« on: 02 June 2010, 17:48 »
Basically been aware of a power drain a couple of minutes after cold starting.  Long after the SAI pump has done is thing.  When I watch out for it I always hear what sounds like a fan kicking in for a mo...?

Went to the trouble this morning of firing it up and standing over the engine for a minute or two and the seems the SAI pump is coming back on again for about 15 seconds.  Is this normal, as in motion it noticeably zaps a bit of power from the engine?

Not just me then!  What's the second shot all about?
Not drain in a big way, but if it kicks in when I pull out a junction I feel the car sort of bog down briefly...
