central locking unit location?????

Hi does anyone know where the central locking unit is located on the mk4 1.4? im having problems and i cant seem to find it? also my immobilizer isnt working (been disconnected) are the two linked?

mate its under the steering wheel behind the plastic cover its a black box called the ccm.

cheers mate! ive looked there and i cant see it? ive definatley got central locking tho! i wonder if the previous owner has taken it out for some reason?

mate is it just the one door if thats the case it might be the modual in the door as each door has one the part i was talking about is for the alarm the central locking the electric windows its called the comfort  convenience modual
have you tried the search.

ah! cheers mate that makes more sense now thanks. I will have another look tomorrow! ive been doing a bit of research and im thinking the problem might lie with the micro switches in the door lock?
Ill give it all a check tomorrow and let you know how i get on.
