Custom Code - Does anyone rate them ?

As custom code now offer a remap for the mk6 they have found themselves in my shortlist but has anyone had any experience with their product

Only on my MK4 which I ran for around 9 months

I'm running an R-Tech map now and have been for the last 18 months

Initially I thought the CC map was the dogs danglies until I put it on a rolling road and found it was 20bhp short of what they claimed

I did lots of checking and logging and Nick at R-Tech looked at it too.  Needless to say there is a good reason why I'm now running an R-Tech remap as it produces the power its supposed to

I found Custom Code customer support rather lacking too - I had a dip in my rolling road graph which they put down to the traction control kicking in.......oh dear - it was switched off for the rolling road!!  And they weren't interested in looking at the car

I dont' think R-Tech do a MK6 remap yet so I'd go for someone like REVO

Had CC on my Polo 1.8T and it was great, was stage 2 so gave them  a list of mods done and they produced a map for me  Fancied something different this time so went with REVO but nothing against CC. TBH I think there are all pretty much the same, especially stage one generic maps, CC, APR, REVO etc.

You'd think so but in my experience they are different    And 20bhp is a BIG difference! Its also how they drive and produce the power

End of the day its mainly down to how you drive and what sort of characteristics you prefer with regards to the power delivery

read a good review over on R32oc about a gent who had his R32 remapped by them. Seemed to be a very personal experience where the car was taken out for a number of runs and logging to find the best settings. not heard much about any other experiences... maybe try the mk5 board also

avoid it personally, alot of Mk5 users on another site avoid it .
