depends on which mk3..

all the ones iv seen are cheep for a reason

but on a side note i think its second hand cars in general, a friend has a 2 year old top of the range titatium Focus, with a load of extras, 18k on the clock cost him 14k i think, they are selling for about 9k at the dealers for the same year but more miles and less spec, he cant even sell his for 7k, had not 1 phone call and its listed on autotraders website plus in the mag, this is 2 moths of trying, he just traded it in yesterday for 6800!!

It wasnt long ago that there was a thread asking why mk3's were appreciating?! At the time, i agreed that they seemed to be getting more expensive but now i have to agree with this thread - people cant seem to give them away! It seems to me that they sell for more on ebay than on here though?! Maybe cos everyone on here hates em  :lipsrsealed:

When you can pick up a MKIV 20vT for less than £2K why would you pay over £1K for a MKIII unles sit's something really special?

They youngest ones are now what 12 years old, they rot like hell, they're not that quick, they're unreliable. It's not really that surprising. They've probably bottomed out now and as all the snotters slowely get destroyed the really tidy original ones will start to become sort after. I've noticed stuff like tidy original Anni's and CC's get snapped up pretty quick.

I think the 16v's are better but the 8v's always have the MAF or relay faults and yo often see them for sale with "running problems".

A mate of mine bought a mint 8v with full mint cream leather and all the toys for £750 as it was running rough. Replaced the MAF and it's all good!
