Underwhelmed by the PS3s?
WOW, I was under the impression these were supposed to be the best. Makes the Sessantas look even better value then.
Having tried neither I can't comment on my own experiences but the Vreds seem very highly rated by various forum hotshoes so they should be pretty darn good.
Fingers crossed you get on better with these.
Let me rephrase that, I wasn't overwhelmed! I had the Dunlops as stock and even though everyone slates them they were excellent in terms of wet and dry grip, noise, wear rate etc. When the fronts wore down to a limit that I would normally replace them (nowhere near the limiters), I changed the fronts for Michelin PS3's (no need to put the new ones on the rear as the rears were showing hardly any wear and i wanted to compare like for like on the driving axle).
Were the PS3's grippier than the Dunlops? No. Quieter? No. Better quality? No, not even made in France now. And they came with a shockingly shallow tread depth from new. So I have read nothing but good things about the Sessantas and I think they look stylish and innovative too. The fact they are great value is an added bonus but price is never an issue with me and tyres, the PS3's were £150 a pop fitted, i'd gladly pay for the best as the tyres are the only thing keeping you on the road.
Will report back on the Sessantas when they are rolling.
Interesting stuff gossa, will be interesting to hear how you get on with the Vreds.
