Quite off topic: What is that plastic bit that sticks out (above the wheel) which is attached to the bumper and the wing?
Not totally sure tbh, but I think it is something VW had to do to stay within some EU regs or type approval or something.
As I said above the optional extra 19"' Talladegas are 8 inches wide and come with 235mm width tyres as standard. I suspect this meant the tyres may have been slightly more "sticky out" than VW originally designed the Golf Mk 6 for. Hence they had to add the little black plastic guards as an afterthought.
